    Description

Treat Canine Cushing's Disease with Vetoryl 30 mg Capsules

Use Vetoryl 30 mg, 30 Capsules (Trilostane) to treat the symptoms of Cushing's Disease (hyperadrenocorticism) in dogs. Some of these symptoms include hair loss, increased appetite and drinking, difficulty breathing, and weakness. This disease is caused by either the pituitary gland overproducing a hormone that tells the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol, or it can be caused by a tumor on the adrenal glads itself.

The trilostane in Vetoryl controls the overproduction of cortisol, and thus reduces the clinical signs of Cushing's. This allows your dog to live a relatively normal life. Vetoryl allows you to treat your dog's Cushing's Disease with once daily dosing.

    Directions

Be sure to follow your veterinarian's instruction regarding the proper doses of Vetoryl. The following table gives the starting doses, but your veterinarian will recommend adjustments based on how your dog responds to the treatment, the severity of the disease, and other factors. Tell your veterinarian about any other pet medications and supplements your dog is taking before starting them on Vetoryl Capsules.

Our 13 year old Standard Poodle has only been on the Vetoryl for 5 weeks and is already showing improvement. A big "thank you " to VetDepot.com for your competitive pricing and speedy service!

    Pros:
    • easy to use packaging
    Cons:
Shorty has been using this for a couple of years after being diagnosed with Cushing's disease. He is doing well although we had to double the dosage. Thank goodness we are able to order this from the Vet Depot and save a bit each month from what the vet's office charges for the same product.

    Unbeatable prices

    • customer service
    Cons:
When my dog first started needing Vetoryl, I checked all around for good prescription meds for him because this medication was not temporary. He needs to be on it forever to stabilize his hormonal levels, so I had to find some reasonable prices that I could afford and Vet Depot has THE best prices AND customer service. There was an issue once in getting the meds to me. Their pharmacy was in constant contact with me. It wasn't a machine and I was rarely put on hold. They really work one on one with you. I've re-ordered this product over and over again.

Overall, reasonable prices, great customer service, and trustworthy!

    Costly but Necessary

When our Manchester was diagnosed with Cushing's disease, the vet said Vetoryl would be part of his diet for the rest of his life. It was costly then but since that time we have had to double the dosage. Thank goodness I can save a little buying his meds from the Vet Depot.
