Tylan Antibiotics for Chickens
Tylan, a macrolide antibiotic, treats a variety of diseases in turkeys, chickens, swine, and honeybees by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. It may also be beneficial for cats and dogs that experience tear staining, although it is not approved for this use.
In chickens, Tylan powder treats chronic respiratory
disease resulting from infection with tylosin-sensitive Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
The antibiotic powder helps maintain feed efficiency and weight gains
in turkeys with infectious sinusitis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum,
and it aids in the control and treatment of swine dysentery caused by
Brachyspira hyodysenteriae when followed immediately by TYLAN Type A.
It also helps control porcine proliferative enteropathies resulting
from infection with Lawsonia intracellularis when followed immediately
by TYLAN Type A. Tylan Soluble Powder also controls Paenibacillus larvae
in honeybees.
Benefits of Tylan:

in chickens and turkeys
- Treats bacterial diarrhea in swine
- Used off-label to treat tear staining in cats and
