I have been using this great product for at least 5 years. I make my own cat food from raw grass-fed beef heart & liver and add Derma-3 to the mixture. My cats love the flavor ... have been most unhappy when, on occasion, I have run out of it.
My only complaint is the plunger device. I choose to just leave if off and pour the oil directly from the bottle ... works fine for me.
<p>"Chunks" my MainCoon needs 2 capusles of Derma-3 a day. No he was not going to swallow them whole, no he was not going to eat his food with 'that' oil in it. I was poking a hole in the capusle and squeezing into his mouth; that was a battle and a real mess. Then I squeezed the oil into a small dish and used a syringe to suck it up and then squeeze into his mouth. What a mess I made with that. Then I discovered Vet Depot and they had Derma-3 LIQUID in a bottle. What a relief to me. I now use the syringe to suck up the oil and into Chunks mouth it goes and instead of a battle I just get a dirty look.</p>
<p>The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because after using the plunger it becomes really sticky and unable to pump. I even tried to wash and clean the plunger with hot hot water and it's good for only a pump or two then right back to sticky mess. Going to try an eyedropper. Wish there was an additional pump included.</p>
