Biomox is only for use in dogs. Do not administer
to cats or other species. Not for use in humans.
Read package instructions and precautionary statements
before use.
Follow your veterinarian's prescription.
Clinical signs may resolve before the infection is
fully treated. Do not stop administration before completing the prescribed
regimen.
Directions:
- Add water as indicated and shake oral suspension
well before use. Remove only the current dose of tablets.
- Administer 5 mg per pound of body weight twice daily.
- Continue dosing for 5 to 7 days as prescribed.
- Continue for 48 hours after disappearance of symptoms.
- Stop treatment and consult your veterinarian if no
improvement is seen within 5 days of use.
Frequency of Use:
Biomox doses are typically given two times per day.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Biomox tablets and oral suspension at room
temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F.
Use or discard Biomox oral suspension within 14 days
after reconstitution.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Biomox Tablets Active Ingredient
(per tablet): amoxicillin 50 mg, 100 mg, or
200 mg
Biomox Oral Suspension Active
Ingredient (per mL): amoxicillin 50 mg (after reconstitution
with indicated quantity of water)
Biomox Oral Suspension Inactive
Ingredients: Cherry Flavor, Silicon Dioxide
NF, FD&C Red #40, Polyoxyethylene-Polyoxypropylene Glycol, Sodium
Benzoate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Saccharin, Sucrose
Warnings:
Keep Biomox out of reach of children and animals.
Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Biomox is only intended for use in dogs. Do not use
in other animals. Not for human ingestion.
Use exactly as prescribed.
CAUTION: Do not stop administration
because symptoms have cleared up; this can occur before the infection
has been successfully eliminated. Complete the prescribed regimen. Use
Biomox for 48 hours after disappearance of clinical signs.
Not for use in animals with a hypersensitivity to
penicillin.
The susceptibility of bacteria causing an infection
should be determined prior to treatment. If no improvement is observed
within 5 days, consult your veterinarian for reevaluation.
Epinephrine and/or steroids are indicated for an
allergic reaction.
The safety of amoxicillin in pregnant and breeding
animals has not been established.
Reconstituted Biomox oral suspension should be used
or disposed of within 14 days whether stored at room temperature or
in the refrigerator.
