in diabetic pets for successful management of the condition. Discuss target blood glucose values and appropriate measures for high and low

Availability:
Complete blood glucose monitoring kit; glucose meter; 2 bottles of 4 mL of control solution; 100 sterile 28-gauge lancets; 50 test strips
Warnings:
Discard lancets after one use;
lancets are dulled after use, making subsequent uses unnecessarily painful
for pets. Handle test strips with clean, dry hands. Do not bend, cut,
or alter them in any fashion. Use test strips immediately after removal
from packaging and replace cap immediately. Test strips provide accurate
readings only once. Drying agents used on test strips may be harmful
if inhaled or swallowed and may irritate the skin or eyes. Accurate
readings require fresh, whole blood. Do not dilute the control solution
with water or any other liquid. Control solution is not for ingestion.
Storage:
Keep products out of reach of
children and animals. Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F.
Protect control solution from freezing and store with cap closed tightly.
Store test strips in their original container only. Protect from moisture
and direct sunlight. Use or discard control solution within 3 months
of opening. Discard unused product at expiration date. Deposit used
lancets in an appropriate storage container for sharp biohazardous medical
waste and bring them to your veterinarian for disposal.
