I bought the 50 lbs container to make sure it would hold a 33-35 pound bag of dog food. There was ample room. I have 2 beagle puppies and it is less expensive to buy the large bags of puppy food, but I wanted it to stay fresh so they would eat it. The lid screws on for an airtight fit. It comes with a scoop that is handy. The opening at the top is large so there is no problem scooping food out. The container is made of a sturdy plastic and the puppies are not able to get into it. I am pleased with the purchase. It would be nice if it came in various colors.
