I have a 13 year old fox hound who was diagnosed with cushings disease a year and a half ago and has been on vetoryl since her diagnosis. I believe if it were not for this medication I would either not have my dog or she would be seriously ill. Prior to starting vetoryl my dog "Daisy Duke" was drinking tons of water, which caused her to have frequent epidodes of urinating indoors when left unattended (she was ashamed of this), she layed around the house depressed, and was getting frequent ear hematomas (the first so severe it required surgey). Since starting vetoryl She is now a happier/healthier senior dog, who loves to go for walks again, rarely has urinary accidents anymore and has not had any new hematomas. I am so glad this product is available it has not only changed my dogs life for the better, but mine as well; can't imagine our lives with out this product.

Helped my dog tremendously
After finally getting a diagnosis of Cushing's disease, we began treatment with trilostane. While we are still adjusting the dose, many symptoms are disappering like ravenous appetite, excessive urination, the pot-bellied look, and a general lethargy. The dog has been on it less than two months, but very good results so far!
Based on a difficult diagnosis, our dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. She is on 120 mg/day of trilostane. Her ravenous appetite has abated and her water intake is back to normal. Hair is beginning to grow back in the patches where she lost hair, and I am seeing a bit of restoration to her profile away from the "pot-bellied" look that Cushing's dogs have. So far so good! But, these treatments are long term and any side effects or dosage adjustments are yet to come.

I cannot tell you how much this medicine has improved the quality of my dog's life. His first illness was in March of 2010. If I were to purchase this medicine through my veterinarian, I would be paying almost double!! My retriever just started this medication 2 weeks ago and we are already seeing marked improvement. She is drinking 1/2 as much water and not needing to urinate nearly as much. She also lasts considerably longer on walks. I am very pleased with these results on such a small dose for her. Unfortunately, since she is a large dog (75 lb), her necessary dose will probably be 2-3 times as much, which we cannot afford. We will need to keep her on this low dose for financial reasons, but it is definitely helping her quite a bit.

I am extremely with the service and delivery time from VetDepot on this product. My dog has Cushings and needs to be on this med for the remainder of his life and VetDepot is the most reasonable of the companies out there for this product. Six months ago my 11+ year old mixed breed dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. He looked terrible, about a third of his hair had fallen out, was nearly 30 pounds over his normal 53-55 pound weight, and seemed to be acting his age.
