Pyrethrin Dip Flea Control

Virbac's Pyrethrin Dip is a specially formulated flea control product that kills fleas, ticks, lice, mosquitoes, gnats, and flies. One half ounce of the concentrate makes one gallon of ready-to-use Pyrethrin Dip.

Virbac's formula used in their Pyrethrin Dip is designed to kill and repel fleas, ticks, lice, mosquitoes, and other pets. This topical flea treatment is safe for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens over 12 weeks of age.

Usage

For Use On: Dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens aged 12 weeks and older. Do not reapply more often than once every 7 days.

Dilution: Thoroughly mix 1/2 oz. (1 tablespoon) of Virbac Pyrethrin Dip with 1 gallon of warm water. If infestation is severe, dilute 1 oz. (2 tablespoons) of Dip with 1 gallon of water. Do not dilute more than you will use in a 24 hour period.

Application: Apply Pyrethrin Dip to a dry or damp coat. Sponge, dip, or spray your pet with the diluted Pyrethrin Dip, and make sure it penetrates all the way to the skin. Do not submerge your animal's eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not rinse! Do not reapply for seven days.

Storage: Do not contaminate water, feed, and pet food with storage or disposal. Do not store near heat or an open flame. Keep Virbac Pyrethrin Dip in a cool, dry place away from children and pets. Do not freeze. Dispose of empty container in the trash or recycle if available. If container is partly filled, call your local solid waste disposal agency or 1-800-CLEANUP for instructions. Do not place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

*Equivalent to 3.20% (butylcarbityl) (6-propylpiperonyl) ether and 0.80% related compounds.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children, and make sure to read the entire label before use. Use only on cats and dogs 12 weeks of age and older.

Harmful if swallowed. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum or using tobacco. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Avoid contamination of food or feedstuffs with the concentration or dip.

Consult a veterinarian before using this product on product on debilitated, aged, medicated, pregnant or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap or non-pesticidal shampoo and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

If Swallowed: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately. If the person is able to swallow, have them sip a glass of water. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by a doctor or poison control center. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If Inhaled: Move patient to fresh air. If the person is not breathing, call 911, then give artificial respiration by mouth-to-mouth. Call a poison control center or doctor for more treatment instructions.

If On Skin or Clothing: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for more treatment advice.

If In Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse with water for 15-20 minutes. If the person is wearing contacts, remove them after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing. Call a poison control center for treatment advice.
