Digestive Pancreatic Enzymes

PancreaTabs Plus is a digestive aid for dogs and cats with concentrated pancreatic enzymes including lipase, amylase, and protease to treat exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI). PancreaTabs pet medications are similar to PancreVed and are also fortified with fat-soluble vitamins A, D, and E. Available in 500 and 100 tablet quantities.

PancreaTabs Plus is a prescription medication for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in dogs and cats. Animals afflicted with pancreatic insufficiency lack adequate pancreatic digestive enzymes to properly digest and absorb protein, carbohydrates, and fats. PancreaTabs Plus replaces those digestive enzymes--lipase, protease, and amylase--while providing fat-soluble vitamins A, D3, and E.

Benefits of PancreaTabs Plus:

  • Replacement therapy for the pancreatic digestive enzymes lipase, protease, and amylase
  • Treats pancreatic insufficiency in dogs and cats
  • Promotes healthy digestion
  • Helps prevent malnutrition by aiding digestion and absorption of basic nutrients
  • Fortified with vitamins A, D3, and E
  • Oral tablet added to your pet's food for easy administration

PancreaTabs Plus is for dogs and cats with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Not for humans or other animals. Only give this product to the animal to which it is prescribed.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not allow children to administer PancreaTabs Plus. Read directions and precautionary statements before use.

Average dosages are 2 to 3 tablets per meal for dogs and 1/2 to 1 tablet per meal for cats. Your veterinarian will consider your pet's weight and the severity of its condition when making a dosage determination.

  2. Mix the prescribed quantity of PancreaTabs Plus tablets into the food thoroughly.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Lipase, protease, and amylase are digestive enzymes produced in the pancreas. In some dogs and cats, disordered pancreas functions leave the body lacking these digestive enzymes. The result is difficulty digesting and absorbing protein, carbohydrates, and fats, the three basic nutrients that provide energy. PancreaTabs Plus replaces these digestive enzymes, promoting healthy digestion and absorption of these nutrients and improving your pet's well-being. In addition, PancreaTabs Plus is fortified with the fat-soluble vitamins A, D3, and E to prevent or treat deficiency related to improper digestion and absorption of nutrients.

PancreaTabs Plus is sold in 100 and 500 count bottles of 425 mg oral tablets. Each tablet contains 9,000 USP units lipase, 57,000 USP units protease, 64,000 USP units amylase, 1,000 IUs vitamin A, 100 IUs vitamin D3, and 10 IUs vitamin E. The enzymes in this product are derived from pigs.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

PancreaTabs Plus is only for dogs and cats with pancreatic insufficiency. It is only to be administered with a prescription, in a manner consistent with your veterinarian's instructions.

Not for humans or other animals.

CAUTION: Diarrhea is an occasional side effect of replacement therapy with pancreatic digestive enzymes. Mention it or any other observed adverse reaction to your veterinarian.

Do not give PancreaTabs Plus tablets to any dog or cat with an allergy to pork products. Watch for symptoms of hypersensitivity. These can include hives, rash, itching, swelling on or around the face, or difficulty breathing. An allergic reaction calls for immediate veterinary attention.

Signs of an overdose include diarrhea, fatty stool, increased appetite, and weight loss. Consult your veterinarian right away if you know of or suspect an overdose.

Be sure your veterinarian knows every supplement and medication your pet takes when PancreaTabs Plus is prescribed. To avoid potentially harmful interactions, check with your veterinarian prior to giving your pet any new drugs or supplements.
