Antiseptic Skin Infection Treatments for Pets

Ketoseb-D and Ketoseb +PS products provide antibacterial, antifungal, and astringent action to cleanse your pet's skin, help manage a number of skin conditions, and prevent infections. Ketoseb products come in several easily applied topical forms for your convenience. All are effective on cats, dogs, and horses.

Ketoseb products are for topical use on cats, dogs, and horses only. Do not use on other animals. Not for human use.

Review all manufacturer-provided instructions and precautionary statements.

Use as instructed by your veterinarian.

Ketoseb-D and Ketoseb +PS Shampoo Directions:

1. Wet pet thoroughly with warm water.
2. Shake bottle well.
3. Apply enough product to pet to cover coat in a rich lather.
4. Massage product into coat.
5. Rinse shampoo off.
6. Re-apply and re-lather.
7. Allow shampoo to stay on coat for 5 to 10 minutes.
8. Rinse well with clean water.
9. Wash hands after use.

Ketoseb-D Flush Directions:

1. Wash affected area.
2. Apply flush liberally to affected area.
3. Absorb excess product with a clean cotton ball or other absorbent material.
4. Use twice per day or as recommended by your veterinarian.
5. Prevent animal from licking treated area until dry.

Ketoseb-D Wipes Directions:

1. Wash affected area.
2. Wipe affected area with product.
3. Discard wipe after one use.
4. Wipe affected area 1 to 3 times per day or as often as recommended by your veterinarian.
5. Prevent animal from licking treated area until dry.

Ketoseb +PS Spray Directions:

1. Wash affected area.
2. Coat affected area with spray.
3. Use up to 3 times per day as recommended by your veterinarian.
4. Prevent animal from licking treated area until dry.

Frequency of Use:

Apply Ketoseb-D or Ketoseb +PS Shampoo 2 to 3 times per week for 4 weeks, then reduce application to once per week, or as often as recommended by your veterinarian. Use other Ketoseb products as advised by your veterinarian.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store Ketoseb products in their original container at controlled room temperature. Protect wipes from freezing.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Ketoseb-D and Ketoseb +PS products contain chlorhexidine gluconate and ketoconazole. These active ingredients provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antifungal action to help treat and prevent skin conditions and infections. In addition, Ketoseb +PS products also include phytosphingosine. This active ingredient is a pro-ceramide that rebuilds the lipid barrier for long-term skin protection and that reduces skin inflammation.

Ketoseb-D Shampoo Active Ingredients: chlorhexidine gluconate 2%, ketoconazole 1%

Ketoseb-D Flush Active Ingredients: chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2%, ketoconazole 0.2%

Ketoseb-D Wipes Active Ingredients (per wipe): chlorhexidine gluconate 20 mg, ketoconazole 17 mg in an alcohol-based solution

Ketoseb +PS Shampoo Active Ingredients: chlorhexidine gluconate 2%, ketoconazole 1%, phytosphingosine 0.05%

Ketoseb +PS Spray Active Ingredients: chlorhexidine gluconate 2%, ketoconazole 1%, phytosphingosine 0.02%, essential fatty acids, vitamin E

Warnings:

Keep these products out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Ketoseb products are for horses, dogs, and cats only. Do not use on humans or other animals.

Use as directed by your veterinarian.

CAUTION: For topical use only.

To prevent ingestion, do not permit animals to lick areas treated with Ketoseb products before applications dry completely.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucus membranes. Not for use in ears.

Rinse eyes thoroughly with clean water in the event of contact and consult your veterinarian.

If your pet develops skin irritation with use, or if existing irritation increases, discontinue application and contact your veterinarian.

Do not allow animals to directly inhale spray.
