Iverhart Max prevents and controls four types of the most common canine worm infections: heartworms, tapeworms, hookworms, and roundworms. It requires only one dose a month and the pork liver flavoring is appealing to most dogs, providing effortless administration.

Iverhart Max is only for dogs and puppies at least 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 6 lbs. Not for human use. Not for cats or any dog for which it was not prescribed.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not allow children to administer Iverhart Max. Read directions and precautionary statements before use.

Use only as prescribed by your veterinarian.

Directions:

1. Give your dog one chewable tablet of the prescribed dosage based on your dog's weight.
2. Remove only the immediate dose from its blister pack and return the remaining product to its package.
3. Feed the Iverhart Max chewable tablet by hand to your dog. Its pork liver flavor makes this easy in most instances. You may also add the tablet intact to your dog's food. If necessary, place the tablet in the back of your dog's mouth and trigger forced swallowing.
4. Monitor consumption to be sure your dog takes the entire dose.

Frequency of Use:

Give your dog one Iverhart Max chewable tablet per month, on the same day each month. If you miss the scheduled date, give the dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, wait; never give a double dose of Iverhart Max. Your veterinarian may prescribe Iverhart Max for year-round use or for use just during mosquito season. In the latter case, give the first dose within 30 days of your dog's first exposure to mosquitoes, and the last dose no more than 30 days after your dog's final exposure to the biting insects.

Storage:

Store in original container and out of reach of children and animals.

Store Iverhart Max at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F. Keep product protected from light and in a dry location.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Iverhart Max contains three anthelmintics, or dewormers: ivermectin, pyrantel pamoate, and praziquantel. These active ingredients make Iverhart Max effective at terminating tissue-stage heartworms for canine heartworm disease prevention, as well as treating and preventing tapeworm, hookworm, and roundworm infections.

Iverhart Max (ivermectin/pyrantel pamoate/praziquantel)

Iverhart Max is sold in four dosages, determined by your dog's weight. Each dose comes in packages of 6 or 12 pork liver-flavored chewable tablets.

Active ingredients:

Iverhart Max Purple (Dogs 6-12 lbs): Ivermectin 34 mcg, Pyrantel Pamoate 28.5 mg, Praziquantel 28.5 mg

Iverhart Max Blue (Dogs 12.1-25 lbs): Ivermectin 68 mcg, Pyrantel Pamoate 57 mg, Praziquantel 57 mg

Iverhart Max Green (25.1-50 lbs): Ivermectin 136 mcg, Pyrantel Pamoate 114 mg, Praziquantel 114 mg

Iverhart Max Brown (50.1-100 lbs): Ivermectin 272 mcg, Pyrantel Pamoate 228 mg, Praziquantel 228 mg

For dogs weighing more than 100 lbs., consult your veterinarian.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Iverhart Max is intended for dogs and puppies over 8 weeks old and 6 lbs. It is not for humans, cats, or other animals. It is only available by veterinary prescription. Use as directed.

CAUTION: Side effects are not common with Iverhart Max, but may include belching, drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, shaking, diminished appetite, or lip licking. These typically occur between 20 minutes and 72 hours after dosing. Even more rare are convulsions and loss of coordination. Consult your veterinarian right away if you observe such adverse reactions in your dog.

Dogs should be checked and treated if necessary for mature heartworms before beginning an Iverhart Max regimen.

No interactions between Iverhart Max and other drugs or supplements have been identified. Regardless, talk to your veterinarian before beginning your dog on any regimen. Do not combine this product with another dewormer.

This product's safety has not been established in pregnant or lactating bitches. Use with caution in sick or underweight dogs and in those under 10 lbs.

If you know of or suspect an overdose, contact your veterinarian immediately.

In clinical safety studies, some dogs that received 3 or 5 times the maximum recommended dosage of Iverhart Max for 6 months presented with testicular hypoplasia.

In the event of human ingestion, immediately contact your doctor or poison control with the product label on hand.
