Iverhart Max contains three anthelmintics,
or dewormers: ivermectin, pyrantel pamoate, and praziquantel. These
active ingredients make Iverhart Max effective at terminating tissue-stage
heartworms for canine heartworm disease prevention, as well as treating
and preventing tapeworm, hookworm, and roundworm infections.

Iverhart Max is sold in four dosages,
determined by your dog's weight. Each dose comes in packages of 6 or
12 pork liver-flavored chewable tablets.

Warnings:
Keep this product out of reach of children
and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Iverhart Max is intended for dogs and
puppies over 8 weeks old and 6 lbs. It is not for humans, cats, or other
animals. It is only available by veterinary prescription. Use as directed.
CAUTION: Side effects are not
common with Iverhart Max, but may include belching, drooling, vomiting,
diarrhea, lethargy, shaking, diminished appetite, or lip licking. These
typically occur between 20 minutes and 72 hours after dosing. Even more
rare are convulsions and loss of coordination. Consult your veterinarian
right away if you observe such adverse reactions in your dog.
Dogs should be checked and treated
if necessary for mature heartworms before beginning an Iverhart Max
regimen.
No interactions between Iverhart Max
and other drugs or supplements have been identified. Regardless, talk
to your veterinarian before beginning your dog on any regimen. Do not
combine this product with another dewormer.
This product's safety has not been
established in pregnant or lactating bitches. Use with caution in sick
or underweight dogs and in those under 10 lbs.
If you know of or suspect an overdose,
contact your veterinarian immediately.
In clinical safety studies, some dogs
that received 3 or 5 times the maximum recommended dosage of Iverhart
Max for 6 months presented with testicular hypoplasia.
In the event of human ingestion, immediately
contact your doctor or poison control with the product label on hand.
