Surolan Otic Suspension is only for dogs. Do not
use in cats or other animals. Use only in the animal for which it was
prescribed. Not for use in humans.
Children should not administer this product.
Read all package instructions and precautionary statements.
Use exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Directions:
- Verify that the eardrum is intact.
- Clean the ear canal of any wax or debris.
- Instill 3 to 5 drops into the ear as prescribed twice
daily.
- Massage the base of the ear gently.
- For use outside the ear, cover the affected area
with Surolan and rub it gently into the skin with a gloved hand twice
daily.
Frequency of Use:
Typical usage requires application of Surolan twice
per day for 7 consecutive days.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Surolan Otic Suspension below 77 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Surolan Otic Suspension Active
Ingredients (per mL): Miconazole nitrate 23 mg, polymyxin
B sulfate 0.5293 mg, prednisolone acetate 5 mg
Surolan Otic Suspension Inactive
Ingredients: Colloidal silicone dioxide,
liquid paraffin

Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Surolan Otic suspension is only intended for use
on dogs. Do not apply to other species or humans. Do not apply to any
animal for which it was not prescribed.

Follow the dosing and other usage specifications
of your veterinarian's prescription.
Federal (USA) law restricts this drug to use by or
on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
CAUTION: Not for use in an ear with
a perforated eardrum, as polymyxin B can cause ototoxicity in such cases.
Do not use concurrently with any product that can
cause ototoxicity. Check with your veterinarian before administering
any other drug or supplement while treating your pet with Surolan Otic
Suspension.
Not for use in any dog with a hypersensitivity to
miconazole nitrate, polymyxin B sulfate, or prednisolone acetate.
Do not use longer than prescribed.
Use on non-susceptible microorganisms can trigger
overgrowth. In such instances, discontinue application and consult your
veterinarian for a new diagnosis and treatment plan.
The safety of Surolan in pregnant, nursing, and breeding
dogs has not been established.
Side effects may include topical sensitivity, impaired
hearing, or deafness. Consult your veterinarian if you notice any adverse
reactions in your pet.
