Kennel Cough, Parvovirus, and Distemper Dog Vaccines
Univac 2 is a vaccination against canine parainfluenza
and Bordetella bronchiseptica. It is used to prevent canine cough or canine
upper respiratory infection. Univac 5 is a vaccination against canine distemper,
infectious canine hepatitis, canine adenovirus types 1 and 2, canine
parainfluenza, and canine parvovirus. It is used to prevent canine distemper
and infectious hepatitis, as well as respiratory infections caused by
indicated viruses.
Univac 2 protects dogs against canine cough, or the
canine upper respiratory infection, caused by canine parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. It is safe for use in healthy
dogs and puppies as young as 3 weeks of age.

Univac 2 Usage:
Univac 2 is only for use in healthy dogs and puppies
at least 3 weeks of age. Do not administer to other animals. Not for
use in humans.
Read all manufacturer-provided instructions and precautionary
statements before use.
For intranasal use only.
For veterinary use, or to be used under the supervision
of your veterinarian.
Directions:
- Use the included sterile diluent to rehydrate the
vaccine.
- Extract all contents with the nasal pipette.
- Administer all contents intranasally.
- Revaccinate at 6 weeks in puppies vaccinated at
a younger age.
- Annual revaccination is recommended.
Univac 5 Usage:
Univac 5 is only for use in healthy dogs and puppies
at least 3 to 4 weeks of age. Do not administer to other animals. Not
for use in humans.

For subcutaneous or intramuscular injection only.
Do not inject into a blood vessel.
For veterinary use, or to be used under the supervision
of your veterinarian.
Directions:
- Twist or tap cap against a hard surface to break
heat weld.
- Rehydrate dessicated vaccine cake by injecting it
with included sterile diluent.
- Shake well.
- Sterilize the site of injection and the syringe.
- Load entire contents (a mL) into syringe and inject
all contents.
- After inserting the needle, pull back slightly on
the syringe plunger. If syringe quickly fills with blood, choose another
injection site.
- Inject vaccine subcutaneously under loose skin behind
the neck or behind the front leg.
- Alternatively, inject vaccine intramuscularly into
the muscle of a hind limb.
Frequency of Use:
Vaccinate puppies younger than 9 weeks every 3 to
4 weeks until 16 weeks of age for at least 3 doses. Give at least 2
doses to adults and puppies older than 9 weeks at 3 to 4 week intervals.
Annual revaccination is recommended.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Univac 5 between 35 to 45 degrees F out of
direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
Incinerate containers and unused product.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Univac 2 contains modified live parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica viruses. Controlled introduction
of these viruses trains a dog's immune system to efficiently recognize
and eliminate them. In the future, the dog's immune system neutralizes
these illnesses before succumbing to them. Univac 2 is administered
intranasally.
Univac 5 contains modified live canine distemper,
infectious hepatitis, adenovirus types 1 and 2, parainfluenza, and parvovirus
viruses. Controlled introduction of these viruses trains a dog's immune
system to efficiently recognize and eliminate them. In the future, the
dog's immune system neutralizes these illnesses before succumbing
to them. Univac 5 is administered via intramuscular or subcutaneous
injection.

Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Univac 2 is only intended for use in healthy dogs
and puppies at least 3 weeks of age. Do not give to cats or other animals.
Not for use in humans.

of a veterinarian.
CAUTION: Do not administer parenterally.
In rare cases, side effects may include coughing,
sneezing, or nasal discharge. While usually temporary (lasting 3 to
10 days after vaccination), sometimes antibacterial treatment is indicated.
Only administer Univac 2 to healthy animals.
Dogs incubating any disease or suffering from emotional
or physical stress may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response.
Anaphylactic reactions may occur. Administer epinephrine.
