Your veterinarian will need to perform periodic blood tests during hormone replacement therapy with Pala-Tech Canine Thyroid.

The following directions represent a standard use. Usage varies, and will likely be adjusted based on the results of blood tests. Use exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian.

  1. Start therapy in dogs by administering 0.1 mg per 10 lbs. of body weight twice per day
  2. Start therapy in cats by administering 0.5 to 1.0 mg as prescribed.
  3. Offer tablets directly or crumble them and add them to food.
  4. Observe your pet to ensure the dose is fully consumed.

Levothyroxine is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract following oral administration.
