Yes, this pump is priced a little higher than others, but you absolutely can not beat the quality and craftsmanship of this extremely QUIET pump!!! I have heard of these pumps lasting 15 plus years, so a few extra bucks up front is definitely worth it!!!

This cost 34 dollars less at VetDepot than in the store and they shipped it to me for 100% free.

Cons:

If you want something more attractive or less obvious, this is not it.

I have this permanently installed in my tank just below the water line. Works great and is pretty quiet.
