My cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a few months ago when we lived in California. I purchased 5 mg Methimazole tablets from the vet's office for $.33/pill and she was taking 5 mg 2x/day. Since then, we have moved to Hawaii and my cat's thyroid levels were retested and she was found to be a little hypothyroid, so her dose was cut in half to 2.5 mg 2x/day. Because I was almost out of pills, I purchased them from my vet at a cost of $.83/5 mg pill!!! Outrageous in my opinion! Because her new dose was 2.5 mg, I had to split the pills in half, which I wasn't always good at, so I was never sure she was actually getting 2.5 mg. This medication is very effective at controlling my 15 year old cat's hyperthyroidism. He gets 2.5mg AM and PM and as long as the medication is administered consistently, and I don't make any adjustments or miss doses he's does very well - I can see that he feels good and his silky coat has come back in. Vetdepot offers very competitive prices and reasonable delivery, which gives a nice break to those who've accrued high vet bills.

The Felimazole came on time. It is the same medication the Vet sold but at a lesser cost.
