My cat was diagnosed with a heart problem and needed to increase the Taurine chewable supplement. This product is breakable, and also you can crush it with your fingers over their food. I started buying this because I give my cats some wet food which is not nutritionally complete and I wanted to make sure they received enough taurine in their diet. They do also get complete dry food and other wet food so it's like extra "insurance" for them. I break up a tab with every feeding and put it in the supplemental food. One of my cats thinks it's a treat and comes running whenever I shake the bottle. Taurine is very important for cats cardiovascular health.
