My two large dogs have thick undercoats and were major shedders. The FURminator greatly reduced (like 90%) shedding and made the dogs feel much more comfortable by ending scratching from what I presume to be itching from dead matted fur. Other brushes helped a bit but only the FURminator solved the problem. It improved the quality of life for my pets.

Rating:

Removes extra hair easily, without pulling my dog's hair or causing pain. Nice for trimming undercoat for summer and to stop shedding.
