Pilocarpine Hydrochloride Intraocular Pressure Medication

Pilocarpine is a prescription pet medication used to reduce intraocular pressure and treat open-angle and acute angle-closure glaucoma. Pilocarpine Hydrochloride pet meds are also used in small amounts to induce vomiting in cats.

Pilocarpine Hydrochloride 2% Ophthalmic Solution treats canine primary glaucoma. It relieves associated intraocular pressure by allowing more fluid to drain from the eye. This not only reduces current suffering, but helps prevent damage to the optic nerve resulting from unchecked primary glaucoma.

  • Treats primary glaucoma in dogs
  • Relieves pressure in the eye
  • Increases drainage of aqueous humor
  • Prevents damage to the optic nerve associated with continuing intraocular pressure
  • Prevents pain, impaired vision, and other symptoms of glaucoma
  • Reduces sensitivity to light
  • Sometimes used to help with recovery following surgery
  • Easily applied, single-drop doses
  • Packaged with sterile dropper tip
