Phenylbutazone is a nonhormonal medication that rapidly
relieves inflammation and other symptoms associated with acute arthritis,
gout, and other musculoskeletal inflammatory conditions. Symptoms often
improve within 24 hours of beginning therapy.

Use this medication only as directed by your veterinarian.
Do not allow children to give this medication to
horses.
Use concurrently with anti-infective agents when
treating inflammatory conditions associated with infections.
Tablets Directions:
- Give 1 to 2 tablets per 500 lbs. of body weight.
- Reduce dosage as symptoms improve.
- Give intermittently to treat flares.
- Do not exceed 4 grams of Phenylbutazone per day.
Paste Directions:
- Give 1 to 2 grams per 500 lbs. of body weight.
- Make sure oral cavity is empty before administering
paste.
- Set the plunger to deliver the correct dose based
on weight.
- Deposit the paste on the back of your horse's mouth
by depressing the plunger.
- Reduce dose after 48 hours to the lowest possible
to maintain benefits.
- Do not exceed 4 grams of Phenylbutazone per day.
Frequency of Use:
Symptoms typically improve within 24 hours. Re-evaluate
diagnosis and treatment plan if no improvement occurs within 5 days.
Use as prescribed. Discontinuation may result in
a recurrence of symptoms.
Storage:
Store Phenylbutazone at controlled room temperature,
59 to 86 degrees F., in a tightly closed container. Keep away from children
and animals.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Phenylbutazone is a synthetic anti-inflammatory medication,
unrelated to hormonal steroids, with antipyretic properties. The medication
