Fire Safety Tips for Pet Owners - Infographic

An estimated 500,000 pets are affected by residential fires every year. It’s important for pet owners to keep fire safety in mind and take steps to be prepared for an emergency. Pet owners should be sure to install smoke detectors, keep loose wires and cords out of reach from curious pets, and never leave candles unattended. Also, it’s a good idea for owners to prepare a pet emergency kit including medication, a copy of medical records, food, bottled water, bowls, a leash or a carrier, plastic bags and paper towels.
