External Parasite Treatment for Dogs and Cats

Lime Sulfur Dip by VET Solutions is a sulfur concentrate used to treat dermatitis and certain external parasites on dogs and cats.

Lime Sulfur Dip effectively treats dogs and cats for non-specific dermatoses, including sarcoptic mange, ringworm, and demodectic. It is generally well tolerated and minimizes irritation, itching, and other symptoms associated with infections caused by susceptible microbes and parasites.

Use this medication only as directed by your veterinarian.

Do not allow children to handle or apply this product. Keep away from eyes, skin, and mucus membranes.

Measure carefully before mixing.

Directions:

  1. Put on gloves.
  2. Shake the sulfur concentrate well.
  3. Add 4 oz of the concentrate to 1 gallon of water and mix well.
  4. Pour the diluted sulfur dip over your animals. Make sure all affected areas are completely covered by the concentrate.
  5. Leave the animal wet. Do not blow dry your animal's coat or rinse away the concentrate.
  6. Apply a protective collar, if necessary, to prevent your pet from licking and ingesting the dip.
  7. Use every 5 to 7 days or as instructed by your veterinarian.
  8. Dilute the concentrate at 8 oz per gallon of water to treat resistant or chronic cases.

Frequency of Use:

Use once every 5 to 7 days, or as instructed by your veterinarian.

Storage:

Store Lime Sulfur Dip at controlled room temperature. If a crust forms on the container, immerse the closed container in warm water for about 15 minutes. Shake well and then use.

Do not use empty containers. Keep away from children and animals.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Lime Sulfur Dip is a concentrated solution of lime sulfur intended to treat infections caused by susceptible parasites and microbes. In addition to killing the offending organisms, regular dips minimize symptoms associated with infection, such as itching, irritation, and inflammation.

Active Ingredients: Sulfurated Lime Solutions 98.7%

Inactive Ingredients: 2.2%

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Lime Sulfur Dip is intended for use on cats and dogs only. Do not use on other animals. Do not use on humans.

CAUTION: For topical use only. Do not exceed recommended dosages included on the product labeling.

Keep away from skin, eyes, and mucus membranes. If eye or skin contact occurs, rinse well with clean water for at least 15 minutes and then immediately seek medical attention. If this product is swallowed, rinse mouth with water, consume large amounts of milk, water, or egg whites, and seek emergency medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.

Do not use this medication in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar medications.

This product may cause skin irritation in some animals. Consult your veterinarian if your pet develops skin irritation while using this product.

Allergic reactions to this product are possible and may cause symptoms such as swelling, scratching, hives, seizures, pale gums, vomiting, sudden diarrhea, cold limbs, and coma. If these symptoms develop, immediately stop using Lime Sulfur Dip and keep emergency veterinary attention.

Tell your veterinarian if your pet is currently taking any over the counter or prescription medications or supplements before beginning therapy with Lime Sulfur Dip.
