Felocell is a line of feline vaccines. Felocell 3
immunizes against rhinotracheitis caused by feline herpesvirus-1, panleukopenia
caused by parvovirus, and respiratory ailments caused by calicivirus.
Felocell 4 immunizes against all the same as Felocell 3, as well as
chlamydiosis caused by Chlamydia psittaci bacteria. Felocell 3 and Felocell 4 contain the
Johnson Snow Leopard strain of the panleukopenia virus. Felocell FIP
immunizes against infectious peritonitis caused by the feline infectious
peritonitis virus (FIPV). Felocell vaccines are freeze-dried to preserve
their stability.
For Use In: Felocell 3 and Felocell 4 are
recommended in healthy kittens at 12 weeks of age, but may be administered
prior. Felocell FIP is for healthy kittens at least 16 weeks of age.

Frequency of Use:
Felocell 3 and Felocell 4 should be given at 12 weeks
of age, with a second dose given 3 to 4 weeks later. Vaccinations given
earlier should be repeated at 12 weeks of age. Felocell FIP should be
given at 16 weeks of age, and not earlier. A second dose is given 3

Felocell 3 and Felocell FIP contain modified live

immune system in a safe and controlled manner that allows for subsequent
easy recognition and elimination of the threats they pose.

Felocell vaccines are only intended for use in healthy
cats of the indicated age. Do not administer to other species. Not for
use in humans.
Felocell 3 and Felocell 4 are only for subcutaneous
or intramuscular injection. Felocell FIP is only for intranasal administration
with droppers. Do not give via any other route.
CAUTION: Felocell vaccines have been
demonstrated to be effective in healthy animals. Successful immunization
may not occur in malnourished animals, those incubating an infectious
disease, those hosting parasites, those that are stressed due to shipment
or environmental conditions, or those that have an otherwise compromised
immune response. Successful immunization may also not occur when product
is not used in accordance to label instructions.
Burn containers and unused product.
Use reconstituted vaccines immediately. Do not store.
Anaphylactic reactions may occur. Epinephrine and
other appropriate treatment of symptoms are indicated.
Felocell 4 is reported to cause lethargy, loss of
appetite, and fever in 1% of treated cats, often in clusters with several
concurrent vaccinations. Symptoms generally begin 1 to 3 weeks after
administration and last for 3 to 30 days, with the average being 12
days. Veterinary care, including steroids and antibiotics, may be needed.
In the event of accidental human exposure, consult
a physician.
