D-Worm is only for use in dogs and puppies at least
4 weeks of age. D-Worm Combo is only for dogs and puppies weighing at
least 6 lbs. and is recommended for use only in puppies at least 12
weeks of age. Do not administer to cats or other animals. Not for human
use.
Do not allow children to feed this product to pets.
Read all instructions and precautionary statements
provided by the manufacturer.
Presence of susceptible parasites should be confirmed
by your veterinarian prior to administration. A fecal examination should
be performed 2 to 4 weeks after treatment to confirm its success.
Treat lactating dogs 2 to 3 weeks after whelping.
Consult your veterinarian before use and follow recommendations.
D-Worm Directions:
- Give 1 chewable tablet of D-Worm for Puppies and
Small Dogs (22.7 mg) per every 10 lbs. of body weight. Divide tablets
in half as needed. Use in all dogs weighing less than 25 lbs.
- Give ½ chewable tablet of D-Worm for Large Dogs (113.5
mg) to dogs weighing 25 lbs. Give 1 tablet to dogs weighing 26-50 lbs.
Give 1 ½ tablets to dogs weighing 51-75 lbs. Give 2 tablets
to dogs weighing 76-100 lbs. Consult your veterinarian about dosing
larger dogs.
- Administer directly by hand for chewing or swallowing
whole, or add to a small amount of food.
D-Worm Combo Directions:
- Give 1 chewable tablet of D-Worm Combo for Puppies
and Small Dogs (30 mg) to dogs weighing 6-12 lbs. Give 2 tablets to
dogs weighing 12.1-25 lbs.
- Give 1 chewable tablet of D-Worm Combo for Medium
and Large Dogs (114 mg) to dogs weighing 25.1-50 lbs. Give 2 tablets
to dogs weighing 50.1-100 lbs. Give 3 tablets to dogs weighing 100.1-150
lbs. Give 4 tablets to dogs weighing 150.1-200 lbs.
- Administer directly by hand for chewing or swallowing
whole, or add to a small amount of food.
Frequency of Use:
D-Worm and D-Worm Combo are designed to work with
one dose. Most veterinarians recommend using de-worming products a second
time after a 3-week interval. Your veterinarian may suggest monthly
treatments. Subsequent doses may be necessary if reinfection occurs,
either from a new source or from larvae not present in the intestinal
tract at the time of treatment.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store at room temperature between 59 to 86 degrees
F.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Pyrantel pamoate, the active ingredient in D-Worm,
kills 2 strains of roundworms (toxocara canis and toxocara lonina) and
3 strains of hookworms (anyclostoma caninum, anclysotoma brazilinse
and uncinaria stenocephala). D-Worm Combo contains pyrantel pamoate
and praziquantel, with the latter ingredient used to kill 2 strains
of tapeworms (dipylidium caninum and taenia pisiformis).

Treatment may cause vomiting or diarrhea with or
without blood in the stool. Consult your veterinarian if you notice
any adverse reactions.
Use only in healthy animals. Do not administer D-Worm
or D-Worm Combo to dogs that are sick, or that look or act sick.
D-Worm treats current infestations, but it does not
prevent most reinfections.
If you know or suspect an overdose, contact your
veterinarian right away.
In the event of human ingestion, contact a physician
or poison control center immediately.
Talk to your veterinarian before administering D-Worm
or D-Worm Combo concurrently with other supplements or drugs.
