Last summer, my 3 dogs were ALL infested with fleas, despite regular application of Frontline. Our vet recommended Comfortis and we haven't had a problem since.

So far so good with Comfortis, the last flea med I used was topical and caused more skin issues. My dog hasn't had any breakouts which is great so I would totally recommend this.

We had tried several brands of spot on type flea control, sprays, shampoos, collars, you name it, for our miniature schnauzer and yorkie who had suffered severely from fleas since moving to Florida this summer. We sprayed our yard with the strongest thing available. Even fighting diligently with these products and hand picking and killing, the fleas continued and were starting to get in our house, every time they went out the fleas came back in and nothing was working. Even though it is more expensive than those other products, we figured we would give comfortis a try. We had already spent a lot over time to no avail. You get what you pay for! Within an hour of taking, fleas were dying and within a day, they were virtually eliminated. This is amazing, I sure hope it keeps working this good. Some have mentioned their dog vomiting after giving the pill, but I made sure that my dogs ate first and had no problem and they gobbled the pill like a treat.

This product, when your pet can hold it down, is wonderful at keeping fleas at bay. Although it is labelled for dogs only in the picture, the actual box states that this strength of Comfortis is approved for usage for cats 6-10lbs. That being said, even when I administered the product as directed (with food), my senior cat vomited within 30 minutes of taking it prior to food. This was the 4th time I gave her the medication so I know she wasn't allergic. I gave it to her again last night with food and she was fine so maybe she ate too fast the first time?
