Postoperative Wound Care

Collasate provides a line of topical wound care sprays and postoperative dressings. Collasate contains a natural hydrolysate Type I collagen as its active ingredient which helps healing at the wound site.

Collasate promotes healing of surgical sites, venous stasis ulcers, superficial wounds, burns, hot spots, dental extractions, diabetic ulcers, traumatic wounds, lick granulomas, footpad injuries, and other wounds. The product is all-natural and contains medical hydrolysate Type 1 collagen for maximum benefits.

Collasate Postoperative Dressing Directions:

  1. Clean the treatment area.
  2. Apply Collasate directly into the wound site and onto the surrounding tissue.
  3. Allow the gel to dry thoroughly.
  4. Cover with a non-stick dressing. Remove dressing as necessary to apply more product. If dressing sticks to the wound site, soak in warm water before removing.

Collasate Spray Directions:

  1. Clean the treatment area.
  2. Shake Collasate Spray bottle well before use.
  3. Hold the spray bottle 4 to 6 inches from the wound site and spray a light coat directly onto the wound.
  4. Allow the spray to air dry.
  5. Cover large wounds with non-stick dressing. Remove dressing as necessary to apply more product. If dressing sticks to the wound site, soak in warm water before removing.

Frequency of Use:

Duration of treatment depends on the severity and type of wound and the animal's individual response. Consult your veterinarian for instructions specific to your animal.

Storage:

Store Collasate at controlled room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F. Do not freeze. Keep away from children and animals.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Collasate is an all-natural product that functions to provide a moist healing environment for burns, wounds, hot spots, and ulcers. It provides a matrix for tissue regeneration and cellular colonization and protects wounds and newly formed granulation tissue by forming a semi-occlusive film barrier. Collasate contains medical hydrolysate Type 1 collagen, a hydrolyzed collagen available in amino acid form for immediate utilization by wound sites. Collasate Spray also contains Bitrex, a bitter-tasting ingredient that deters fur and skin licking and biting.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Collasate is intended for use in multiple animals, including dogs, cats, and birds. Do not use on humans.

CAUTION: Discontinue use and consult your veterinarian if condition worsens or fails to improve within 10 to 14 days.

Collasate Spray may cause eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, flush and seek medical attention.

Do not use this medication in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar products.
