Clintabs contains clindamycin hydrochloride, a semisynthetic antibiotic that works by inhibiting protein synthesis in the cell of bacteria. Clindamycin causes irreversible changes to the protein-synthesizing subcellular elements of cell walls at the ribosomal level. This action destroys the bacteria responsible for infection.

Clintabs is available only by prescription.
