Pyrantel Pamoate Dewormer for Dogs

Worm Protector 2X is an anthelmintic designed to remove large roundworms and hookworms in puppies and dogs. It works rapidly to rid the body of parasites to prevent and treat complications associated with infection, such as diarrhea, potbelly, lethargy, weakness, vomiting, dull coat, loss of appetite, and cough.

Worm Protector 2X is a safe and effective dewormer for use on puppies and dogs. It eliminates large roundworm and hookworm infections to prevent complications and improve overall health.

Use Worm Protector only as directed by your veterinarian and under veterinarian supervision.

The presence of susceptible parasites should be confirmed by fecal exam prior to using Worm Protector.

Directions:

1. Weigh animal prior to administering Worm Protector to ensure accurate dosing.
2. Shake thoroughly before each use.
3. Feed directly from a bowl or mix with food.
4. Give 1 tsp. (5 mL) for every 10 lbs. of body weight.
5. Follow up with a fecal examination 2 to 4 weeks after treatment.

Frequency of Use:

It is recommended that puppies undergo treatment at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age. Treat lactating bitches 2 to 3 weeks after whelping. Treat high-risk dogs monthly.

Storage:

Store Worm Protector at controlled room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F., in a tightly closed container. Keep away from children and pets.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

The active ingredient in Worm Protector, pyrantel pamoate, is a compound belonging to the tetrahydropyrimidines family. It is an oral wormer that works by causing sudden muscular contraction and then paralysis of the offending parasite. This results in the parasite losing its grip on the animal's intestinal wall. Once this occurs, the parasite is passed through the system naturally.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Worm Protector is intended for use in puppies and dogs only. Do not give to cats. Do not give to horses. Do not use in humans.

CAUTION: Worm Protector suspension will separate when sitting. Shake very well before every use to ensure uniform re-suspension and proper dosage.

Side effects are not common. Sometimes, vomiting may occur following treatment. Report adverse reactions to your veterinarian.

Watch for signs of allergic reaction. If swelling, scratching, hives, cold limbs, sudden diarrhea, seizures, pale gums, shock, or coma develops, seek emergency veterinary attention.

Overdose is rare and may cause rapid breathing, profuse sweating, and loss of balance. Seek emergency veterinary attention for a known or suspected overdose.

Use cautiously in animals being treated with organophosphates or diethylcarbamazine. Tell your veterinarian about any supplements or medications your animal is currently taking.

Do not use this Worm Protector in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar medications.
