Antibacterial Ear Cleaner for Dogs and Cats

TrizEDTA Aqueous Blue and TrizEDTA Crystals Red flush the ear with an antibacterial solution. They clean the ear canal to make otitis externa treatments more effective and inhibit recurrence of infections. These products kill bacteria; they are not generally useful against malassezia or other yeast infections. TrizEDTA Aqueous is a ready-to-use flush, while TrizEDTA Crystals requires reconstitution with distilled water.

TrizEDTA Aqueous Blue and TrizEDTA Crystals Red are ear cleansing flushes that help treat and prevent bacterial ear infections in cats and dogs. These topical products clean the ear canal, provide antibacterial action, alkalinize, and serve as a pretreatment flush for pets with otitis externa.

Directions:

Reconstitute TrizEDTA Crystals Red by adding 112 mL distilled water into the bottle and shaking vigorously. TrizEDTA Aqueous Blue is ready to use as purchased.
Apply product liberally into the ear.
Gently but firmly massage the base of the ear.
Absorb excess fluid with a cotton ball or other clean, absorbent material.

Frequency of Use:

Use as needed or as instructed by your veterinarian during treatment of otitis externa. Use twice weekly or as recommended to prevent recurrence of bacterial ear infections.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store TrizEDTA products at room temperature.

Use or dispose of TrizEDTA Crystals Red within 21 days of reconstitution.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

TrizEDTA flushes are made with a tromethamine and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) buffer solution. This combination of ingredients provides bactericidal action to help prevent development of otitis externa. TrizEDTA has a pH of 8 (TrizEDTA Crystals Red requires reconstitution with distilled water as directed to achieve this pH).

Active Ingredients: Tromethamine (Tris) USP, Edetate Disodium Dihydrate (EDTA) USP, buffered to pH 8 with Tromethamine HCl and deionized water. Does not contain preservatives.

Warnings:

Keep TrizEDTA products out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

TrizEDTA Aqueous Blue and TrizEDTA Crystals Red are only for use on cats and dogs. Do not apply to other species. Not for human use.

For topical use only.

Use as advised by your veterinarian.

CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets in your pet's eyes, flush with clean water and contact your veterinarian if irritation does not quickly clear up.

If ear or skin irritation develops with use of TrizEDTA, discontinue application and consult your veterinarian.

Use of TrizEDTA when a yeast infection is present in the ear may result in overgrowth of the yeast. Consult your veterinarian if your pet's condition worsens or does not improve when treating otitis externa.

Discard unused TrizEDTA Crystals Red 21 days after reconstituting.
