Tris-EDTA and Chlorhexidine Medications for Skin and Ear Infections

TrizCHLOR 4 products were the first on the market to combine tris-EDTA and chlorhexidine for powerful topical antimicrobial action against bacterial dermatitis and other skin infections and against some antibiotic-resistant problems, including pyoderma and some Staph strains in dogs, cats, and horses. TrizCHLOR Aqueous Flush treats chronic otitis in dogs and cats. Wipes are only for dogs and cats.

TrizCHLOR 4 medicated shampoo, spray, and wipes deliver the antimicrobial chlorhexidine to treat bacterial skin infections and pyoderma. The shampoo offers a soap-free cleanse that also treats infections. The shampoo and spray may be used on cats, dogs, and horses, while the wipes are just for cats and dogs.

TrizCHLOR 4 Shampoo Directions:

Pre-bathe with DermaPet DermaLyte Shampoo for best results.
Shake TrizCHLOR 4 shampoo bottle vigorously.
Lather shampoo onto skin and coat lightly.
Wait 5 to 10 minutes, and then rinse off shampoo thoroughly.
Condition with TrizCHLOR 4 spray afterwards for best results.
Wash your hands with water and soap.
Use daily or as directed by your veterinarian.

TrizCHLOR 4 Spray Directions:

Pre-cleanse with TrizCHLOR 4 shampoo for best results.
Spray or pour onto coat in affected areas.
Let application dry.
Wash your hands with water and soap.

Wipe down affected area, spreading on a liberal amount of the application.
Apply with a massaging motion.
Wash your hands with water and soap.

TrizChlor 4 Wipes Ingredients: Saturated with a solution containing Tromethamine (Tris) USP, Edetate Disodium Dihydrate (EDTA) USP, 4% Chlorhexidene Gluconate buffered to pH 8 with Tromethamine HCL and deionized water
