Tape Worm Tabs eliminate tapeworms in dogs and cats with the cestocide Praziquantel. Praziquantel makes it so your pet's digestive system is able to break down the tapeworm enough to pass it through the body. Tape Worm Tabs are a generic equivalent to Droncit and are available without a prescription.

Tape Worm Tabs effectively treat the two most common types of tapeworms in both cats and dogs. A single dose of the medication destroys tapeworms while causing little or no side effects. Tape Worm Tabs are available over the counter.

Tape Worm Tabs Canine Directions:

  1. Give tablets directly by mouth or crumble and mix with food.
  2. Monitor animal to ensure the entire dose is consumed. Failure to consume the entire dose may result in incomplete elimination of tapeworms.
  3. Give 1/2 tablet to dogs weighing 5 lbs. and under.
  4. Give 1 tablet to dogs weighing 6-10 lbs.
  5. Give 1 1/2 tablet to dogs weighing 11-15 lbs.
  6. Give 2 tablets to dogs weighing 16-30 lbs.
  7. Give 3 tablets to dogs weighing 31-45 lbs.
  8. Give 4 tablets to dogs weighing 46-60 lbs.
  9. Give 5 tablets to dogs weighing over 60 lbs.

Tape Worm Tabs Feline Directions:

  1. Give tablets directly by mouth or crumble and mix with food.
  2. Monitor animal to ensure the entire dose is consumed. Failure to consume the entire dose may result in incomplete elimination of tapeworms.
  3. Give 1/2 tablet to cats weighing 4 lbs. and under.
  4. Give 1 tablet to cats weighing 5-11 lbs.
  5. Give 1 1/2 tablet to cats weighing over 11 lbs.

Frequency of Use:

One treatment should eliminate tapeworms. However, retreatment will be necessary if your animal becomes reinfected by fleas in the environment or other sources.

Storage:

Store Tape Worm Tabs out of reach of children and animals, at room temperature, and in the original packaging. Protect from light, heat, and moisture.
