Anti-Inflammatory Cream for Arthritis in Horses

Surpass is an anti-inflammatory cream for the treatment of osteoarthritis in horses. It is most effective at reducing inflammation and other symptoms of osteoarthritis affecting the metacarpophalangeal, proximal interphalangeal, tarsal, carpal, and metatarsophalangeal joints in horses.

Surpass is a topical anti-inflammatory medication that helps control the pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis and other joint conditions in horses. It works rapidly to reduce symptoms and improve mobility and quality of life.

Use Surpass only as directed by your veterinarian.

Wear gloves when handling or applying this product.

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Directions:

1. Apply a 5-inch strip of the cream to the affected joint.
2. Massage the cream into the hair covering until it is no longer visible.
3. Use twice daily unless otherwise instructed by your veterinarian.
4. Wash your hands with soap and water after applying Surpass topical cream.

Frequency of Use:

Use this medication twice daily for up to 10 days or as directed by your veterinarian.

Storage:

Store Surpass at 77 degrees F. or below. Do not freeze. Keep away from pets and children.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Surpass contains 1% diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication that belongs to the phenylacetic acid class. It works by inhibiting prostaglandins that cause joint inflammation, which in turn reduces swelling, stiffness, and pain.

Active Ingredients: 1% diclofenac sodium

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Surpass is intended for use on horses only. Do not use on other animals or on humans. Doing so may be harmful to health.

CAUTION: Seek emergency medical attention if a human ingests this product.

Avoid direct contact with skin. Always wear gloves when handling this product to prevent absorption into the skin. If contact with skin occurs, immediately wash with soap and water.

For topical use only. Not to be given orally.

Treating multiple joints may increase plasma concentration levels, leading to increased side effects and risk of toxicity.

Discontinue use immediately is colic, reduced appetite, anemia, fecal abnormalities, or depression occur.

Surpass and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may be associated with renal and gastrointestinal toxicity.

Do not use with other NSAID medications.

It is not known if Surpass is safe for use in pregnant, lactating, or breeding animals. It is not known if this product is safe for use in horses under 1 year of age.

Do not use Surpass in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar products.
