It wasn't until my dog, Holly, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, was 12 1/2 years old when she was developed arthritis in her front wrists, lower spine and hips which became progressively worse very quickly in a year and a half's time - she is now 14.

The Phycox and glucosamine/chondroitin ASU that my vet prescribed became less and less effective, so he also prescribed Chondroprotec twice a week to help ease her arthritis pain. Although she's not and never will be pain free, it does make a marked difference in her movement and daily activity. Without it, she limps, favoring her right front paw, but since she's been on Chondroprotec, no more limping, just morning stiffness and when she gets up after napping.

It was a bit of a challenge to make myself give her an injection instead of driving in twice a week for the vet to do it, but now, it's not nearly as difficult to do, esp. that she doesn't even feel the tiny needle.

I highly recommend Chondroprotec, esp. that it is not an NSAID, therefore not harmful to the kidneys or liver [ Holly also has kidney disease ] and I've read that people who have taken it, swear by it and are urging for a human equivalent to be put on the market for their arthritis.

My 65lb mixed breed has hip dysplasia which effects her walking, jumping, sitting and pretty much everything. She is on pain medication, but she needs something more. Other medications were either ineffective or very hard on her stomach. I give her an injection (started with 2xweek, now at once a week) and she has had marked improvement. She seems much happier, too! I'm glad we found this medicine.
