"vetoryl" improved my aging dogs quality of life

Pros:
Cons:
I have a 13 year old fox hound who was diagnosed with cushings disease a year and a half ago and has been on vetoryl since her diagnosis. I believe if it were not for this medication I would either not have my dog or she would be seriously ill. Prior to starting vetoryl my dog "Daisy Duke" was drinking tons of water, which caused her to have frequent epidodes of urinating indoors when left unattended (she was ashamed of this), she layed around the house depressed, and was getting frequent ear hematomas (the first so severe it required surgey). Since starting vetoryl She is now a happier/healthier senior dog, who loves to go for walks again, rarely has urinary accidents anymore and has not had any new hematomas. I am so glad this product is available it has not only changed my dogs life for the better, but mine as well; can't imagine our lives with out this product.

Cons:
We were paying twice the price previously at our vet, who was priced right along with every other vet in our area, and along with the savings we have had nothing but top notch service from the staff at VetDepot. If there is a problem they call us, and everything is worked out immidiately. The delivery time from the pharmacy is excellent, which is very important to us because our dog Katie (German Shepard/Australian Shepard cross) has had Cushings Disease for a little over a year now. We won't purchase from anyone else.

Cons:
Have used Vetoryl now for close to two years, our Shep/Collie Mix is on 200mg/d (100mg twice/d). Is doing very well, no other symptoms left except heavy panting episodes in the early morning hours and somewhat increased water intake, also increased itching which we try to compensate with a small Pred dose (counterintuitive, but it seems to help).

VetDepot service is exceptonial! Fast, responsive, and very good price. Thank you.

This drug was prescribed by my vet after diagnosing my cocker spaniel with Cushing's dissease. We had to alter the dosage a bit in the first couple of months, but when she started to eat normally and her activity level returned to her "old" self, we were very pleased and relieved to have found something that would help her. She's been on the drug for 8 months now and we are very pleased with the results. Vet Depot is a great place to purchase this med- they called the vet for a prescription and had the medicine to my door in lightning fast speed.

We have been using Vetoryl for six months to medicate our labs Cushing's disease. Since on Vetoryl her excessive drinking of water and food aggression has lessened without side effects. If your pet has Cushing's ask your vet about Vetoryl. VetDepot is a great place to get Vetoryl. It's about $20 cheaper here than anywhere else. This includes fast and free delivery to your home.

My Golder Retriever Bailey has been taking 2 (60mg) of Vetoryl Capsules a day now for about a month and a half now.

In this time I haven't noticed any major improvement even though his blood work show his levels are where they should be.

He still has hevy panting at time and not much energy. This could be due to the fact he will be 14 years old in 4 months.

On the other hand, I am really happy I found VetDepot!

From the time I placed my order, they were quick to call my vet for Bailey's prescription and have it arrive at my front door! VetDepot also has me saving $40 a month ($20 a box x 2) on Bailey's prescription! (Compared to Bailey's vets price.) Thanks Vet Depot!

Great Product but a couple concerns

Rating:
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Pros:
Cons:
This product has been excellent at correcting you dogs Cushing's disease. It is easy to order via Vetdepot and they are exceptionally good at contacting your Vet when needed and getting the product to you. My only complaint about ordering the product would be that your account have a "prior order" section to make it easier to look up the product.

There are two reasons I don't give the product a 5. One is that the price of the product has increased substantially since I began ordering it. One bright side is that the product just went on sale which reduced it by nearly 10% so it is competitive with other pet medicine sites.

The second thing I don't like about the product is that it is in a capsule form. My Vet suggested splitting the dosage in half and giving it to the dog morning and evening. To switch from a 60 mg dosage to two 30mg dosages would have cost nearly $50 more per month. If the product came in pill form, it could have been split easily however in capsule form, that is not possible. As I can't afford an additional $50 per month, I went back to giving one capsule per day.

Great Product but Pricey

Pros:
Cons:
My retriever just started this medication 2 weeks ago and we are already seeing marked improvement. She is drinking 1/2 as much water and not needing to urinate nearly as much. She also lasts considerably longer on walks. I am very pleased with these results on such a small dose for her. Unfortunately, since she is a large dog (75 lb), her necessary dose will probably be 2-3 times as much, which we cannot afford. We will need to keep her on this low dose for financial reasons, but it is definitely helping her quite a bit.
