We put our Labrador on this for a deteriorating liver as well as prescription food, milk thistle and vitamin E all at the same time and she's back to her old self. Since she must stay on this for the rest of her life, this great deal is saving us about $500 per year for what looks to be several more good years.

Please note that once your dog is on it, you will need to keep him/her on it, probably for the rest of the dog's life, as the underlying disease remains. This treats symptoms, it doesn't cure the disease.



If your dog has liver disease and your vet suggests that this might help, it is worth a try. When it works, it works very well. It turned my dog's health around.

Ursodiol got rid of my dog's gallstones and improved her appetite and energy. Using it prevented her from needing surgery - which might have killed her because of her age and because she has other health problems. Her vet said she has to keep taking it because she's had two gallstone attacks in the past and he does not want any more gallstones appearing.
