Pet Medications for Worms in Dogs

Safe-Guard pet medications contain fenbendazole to treat worms in dogs. Safe-Guard for dogs treats hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, and tapeworm infestations.

Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer removes tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms in dogs. Unlike many other wormers effective against multiple types of intestinal parasites, this medication contains only one active ingredient, making it safer and rarely a cause of side effects.

Benefits of Safe-Guard:

  • Effective at eliminating tapeworm, roundworm, hookworm and whipworm infections
  • Rarely causes adverse reactions
  • Deworming with just 3 consecutive once-daily doses
  • Safe for puppies at least 6 weeks old and pregnant bitches
  • Available as granules that are mixed with food for ease of administration
  • FDA-approved for indicated uses

Safe-Guard is only for use in dogs and puppies at least 6 weeks old. Do not administer to cats or other species. Not for human ingestion.

Read all package directions and precautionary statements before use.

Frequency of Use:

Safe-Guard doses are administered once daily for 3 consecutive days. Successful treatment requires completing this regimen.

Ask your veterinarian about an appropriate deworming schedule for your location and your dog's typical activities.

In general, deworm weaned pups at 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age. Treat the dam at the same time as her pups. It is recommended that dogs over 6 months old be dewormed at least twice per year.

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store Safe-Guard at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F.
