Hydrocortisone Skin Infection Treatment

ResiCORT pet medications are a leave-on lotion with hydrocortisone for dogs and cats that is formulated to have anti-inflammatory and antipruritic (anti-itch) properties. ResiSOOTHE is an over-the-counter lotion made with soothing colloidal oatmeal that treats dry, itchy, and flaky skin on dogs, cats, and horses.

ResiCORT Leave-On-Lotion and ResiSOOTHE Oatmeal Leave-On Lotion treat dry, irritated, or itchy skin on cats, dogs, and horses. They provide long-lasting relief without leaving any unpleasant residue on the skin or coat. ResiCORT is specially formulated to work on inflammatory skin conditions, while ResiSOOTHE contains oatmeal for natural soothing and hydrating effects.

ResiCORT Leave-On Lotion and ResiSOOTHE Oatmeal Leave-On Lotion are only for use on cats, dogs, and horses. Do not apply to other animals. Only apply ResiCORT to animals for which it was prescribed. Not for use on humans.

Use as directed by your veterinarian.

Directions for ResiCORT Leave-On Lotion:

Bathe or thoroughly wet the animal.
Shake bottle well.
Apply sufficient lotion down the animal's back to cover the coat.
Massage lotion over the animal's coat.
Add more lotion as necessary (amount needed varies by size of the animal and length of the hair).
Use in localized areas or generally after shampooing as prescribed.
Use 2 to 3 times per week for 2 weeks, then as frequently as prescribed.
Wash your hands with soap and water.

Directions for ResiSOOTHE Oatmeal Leave-On Lotion:

Bathe or thoroughly wet the animal.
Shake bottle well.
Apply sufficient lotion down the animal's back to cover the coat.
Massage lotion over the animal's coat.
Add more lotion as necessary (amount needed varies by size of the animal and length of the hair).
Use in localized areas or generally after shampooing as recommended.
Use daily or as advised by your veterinarian.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store ResiCORT and ResiSOOTHE at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

ResiCORT and ResiSOOTHE contain ingredients to moisturize and relieve dry, itchy, irritated skin. ResiCORT also contains hydrocortisone, a topical corticosteroid, to reduce inflammation associated with dermatitis. It is also made with spherulites, a patented encapsulation system that slow-releases ingredients, and chitosanide, a compound that builds a protective film over the coat and skin. Colloidal oatmeal is added to ResiSOOTHE for its ability to naturally hydrate, soothe, and remedy itching.

ResiCORT Leave-On Lotion Ingredients: Hydrocortisone 1% w/w, purified water, sorbitan stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearyl alcohol, Spherulites, chitosanide, cetyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride, sodium coco PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, dimethicone, DMDM hydantoin, carbomer, glycerin, triethanolamine, fragrance, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C red #40. May contain citric acid. Spherulites contain urea, chitosanide and glycerin in encapsulated forms.

ResiSOOTHE Oatmeal Leave-On Lotion Ingredients: Water, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, dimethyl stearamine, glycerin, DMDM hydantoin, colloidal oatmeal, lactic acid, tetrasodium EDTA, sunflower oil, tocopherol, fragrance.

Warnings:

Keep ResiCORT and ResiSOOTHE out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

ResiCORT Leave-On Lotion is only for cats, dogs, and horses for which it has been prescribed. ResiSOOTHE Oatmeal Leave-On Lotion is only for cats, dogs, and horses. Do not use on other animals. Not for human use.

For topical use only.

Use ResiCORT exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian. Use ResiSOOTHE as recommended by your veterinarian.

CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact with an animal's eyes, flush eyes well with clean water and contact your veterinarian if irritation persists. In the event of contact with human eyes, flush eyes well with clean water and contact your physician if irritation persists.

Wash hands with soap and water after applying ResiCORT.

If irritation or a skin condition does not improve or worsens with use of one of these products, discontinue application and consult your veterinarian.
