Pro-Biolac is a milk replacer for puppies and kittens that contains colostrum, DHA essential fatty acids, and other live, probiotic organisms. Pro-Biolac pet meds can also be given as a food supplement to adult cats and dogs.

Pro-Biolac Milk Replacement for Kittens and Pro-Biolac Milk Replacement for Puppies provide young pets with a nutritionally complete milk replacement when their mother's supply is unavailable or inadequate. It is made with colostrum to be as healthy of a milk replacement as possible for nursing animals. It is also fortified with fatty acids and beneficial live, naturally occurring microorganisms. In addition, a veterinarian may recommend Pro-Biolac for mothers during late gestation or early lactation stages to bolster the nutritional value of their own milk.

Directions:

Add warm water halfway to the bottle's fill-line to begin reconstituting Pro-Biolac. Shake vigorously. Fill bottle the rest of the way to the fill-line with warm water. Shake again until all powder is dissolved.
When not reconstituting a whole bottle, add 2 manufacturer-provided scoops of Pro-Biolac powder with 3 scoops of water. Mix until all powder is dissolved.
Refrigerate reconstituted Pro-Biolac; use or discard within 24 hours of reconstitution.
Feed 2 tbsp. of the species-appropriate Pro-Biolac product per 4 oz of body weight to puppies and kittens daily, preferably with a clean nursing bottle.
Divide the total quantity of Pro-Biolac evenly among the day's feedings. Divide into 6 to 8 feedings for the first 4 days of life. Gradually reduce to 4 daily feedings as recommended by your veterinarian. Allow animals to consume as much Pro-Biolac as they want at each feeding.
Wash nursing bottle well with hot water and soap after each feeding, and then rinse and dry it thoroughly.
Feed 2 tsp. (4 gm) of the species-appropriate Pro-Biolac product per 5 lbs. of body weight daily to pregnant and nursing cats and dogs until 2 weeks after birth.
Supplement show animals, growing young, and convalescing pets with 1 tsp. (2 gm) of the species-appropriate Pro-Biolac product per 5 lbs. of body weight daily.

Frequency of Use:

Pro-Biolac is typically given 4 to 8 times per day to nursing puppies and kittens as advised by your veterinarian, depending on the animal's age and other factors. Pro-Biolac is administered once daily when used in pregnant or nursing queens and bitches or as a supplement for show animals, growing puppies and kittens, or convalescing pets.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store Pro-Biolac in a tightly sealed container at controlled room temperature and protect from moisture and heat before reconstitution. It may be stored indefinitely in the freezer. Refrigerate reconstituted Pro-Biolac and use or discard within 24 hours.

Warnings:

CAUTION: A nursing animal's stool consistency and frequency reflects whether feeding levels are appropriate. If an animal taking Pro-Biolac develops diarrhea or constipation, consult your veterinarian.

Whenever possible, feed a newborn its mother's colostrum for at least the first 2 days of life. This is the only way to transfer important antibodies that protect the young against diseases.

Ensure that nursing bottles are clean before use. Wash well with soap and hot water after each use. Rinse and dry completely.
