Methigel delivers supplemental dl-methionine, an
amino acid. It acidifies the urine. An acidic environment is not hospitable
to bacteria, so Methigel assists in the treatment and prevention of
urinary tract infections (UTIs). The acidic environment is also less
likely to allow for bladder stone formation. In addition, urine with
an appropriately low pH does not smell as potently as less acidic urine.
