Ketoconazole & Chlorhexidine Shampoo and Wipes

Mal-A-Ket medicated shampoo and wipes contain ketoconazole and chlorhexidine to treat seborrhea and other skin infections in dogs and cats. Mal-A-Ket Shampoo comes in an 8 oz bottle, and the Medicated Wipes come in a container of 50.

Mal-A-Ket Medicated Shampoo, Mal-A-Ket Medicated Wipes, and Mal-A-Ket Plus TrizEDTA Flush are cleansers that provide broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal action. They help manage and treat a variety of infections. The wipes are for cats and dogs, while the other two products are for these species and horses. Mal-A-Ket shampoo, perfect for a full-body cleanse, degreases and deodorizes. The flush, useful for targeted treatments, contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) to reduce inflammation associated with infections and some skin conditions. The wipes are another alternative for quick and convenient targeted treatments, particularly those not requiring an NSAID.

Mal-A-Ket shampoo and flush are for use on cats, dogs, and horses only. Mal-A-Ket wipes are for use on cats and dogs only. Do not use on other animals. Use only on the animal for which the product was prescribed. Not for use on humans.

Children should not be permitted to apply Mal-A-Ket to any animal.

Read all package instructions and precautionary statements prior to use.

Use as prescribed by your veterinarian.

Directions for Mal-A-Ket Medicated Shampoo:

Wet animal's coat well with warm water.
Prime the coat with DermaLyte or another DermaPet shampoo for best results.
Apply enough Mal-A-Ket shampoo to create a rich lather.
Massage shampoo into the coat.
Rinse.
Repeat and allow second application to remain on for 5 to 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
Wash hands with soap and water after application.
Use 2 to 4 times per week for 4 weeks as prescribed, then reduce to prescribed frequency.

Directions for Mal-A-Ket Medicated Wipes:

Remove one wipe from the package.
Apply liberally to affected areas as directed by your veterinarian, as often as prescribed.
Wash hands with soap and water after application.

Directions for Mal-A-Ket Plus TrizEDTA Flush:

Apply flush liberally to affected areas as often as prescribed.
Massage product over the site using gentle pressure.
Wash hands with soap and water after application.

Frequency of Use:

Typically, Mal-A-Ket Medicated Shampoo is applied 2 to 4 times per week for 4 weeks and then usage is reduced. Follow your veterinarian's prescription. Mal-A-Ket Medicated Wipes and Mal-A-Ket Plus TrizEDTA Flush should be used as often as prescribed.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Store Mal-A-Ket products at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Mal-A-Ket Plus TrizEDTA Flush Ingredients: Chlorhexidine Gluconate .15%, Ketoconazole w/v .15%, Tromethamine (Tris) USP, Edetate Disodium Dihydrate (EDTA) USP, buffered to pH 8 with Tromethamine HCL and deionized water

Warnings:

Keep Mal-A-Ket products out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Mal-A-Ket Medicated Wipes are only intended for use on cats and dogs. Mal-A-Ket Medicated Shampoo and Mal-A-Ket Plus TrizEDTA Flush are only intended for use on cats, dogs, and horses. Not for use on other species. Not for human use. Do not apply to any animal for which the product was not prescribed.

For external use only. Do not use in the ears.

Follow the dosing and application instructions provided by your veterinarian.

CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Flush eyes well with clean water in the event of contact. Talk to your veterinarian if irritation persists.

If irritation results from application, or if an animal's infection or condition does not improve or worsens, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.

Wash hands after applying a Mal-A-Ket product. If irritation results, consult your doctor and avoid applying product, or wear gloves if you must apply the product.

Consult your veterinarian before using other drugs or supplements in any animal being treated with Mal-A-Ket.
