Topical Flea and Tick Treatment Medication for Dogs

K9 Advantix II provides comprehensive protection for dogs against five threats: fleas, ticks, biting flies, mosquitoes, and chewing lice.

Use this product only on dogs. Do not apply to cats or other animals. This product is not intended for puppies under the age of 7 weeks.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not allow children to apply K9 Advantix II. Read directions and precautionary statements before use.

Directions:

1. Cut package with scissors and pull foil down. Take the applicator tube out of the package.
2. Position applicator tube upright and remove cap.

3. Reverse cap, inserting the other end onto tube.
4. Twist cap to break seal, then take off cap.
5. Apply all K9 Advantix II in tube evenly in two to three locations on your dog's back from shoulders to the tail's base. Spread hair to expose underlying skin in each spot.

6. Touch tip of the tube to the skin and squeeze tube gently. Refrain from squeezing out too much of the product in any one place to prevent the solution from running down the dog's side.
7. Throw away empty tube as described below.

Frequency of Use:

For best results preventing fleas and ticks, reapply K9 Advantix II once monthly. Limit reapplications to once per week when subsequent treatments are needed.

Storage:

Store in original container and out of reach of children and animals. Keep K9 Advantix II in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze.

Containers are not refillable and should not be reused for any purpose. Dispose of empty tubes in the trash, or recycle where available. Contact your local solid waste agency or 1-800-422-9874 for instructions for disposing of a partially filled tube. Never put the product down a drain, inside or out.

Federal Law prohibits using this product in a manner other than is indicated on its label. Never contaminate feed or food with this product.

K9 Advantix II

K9 Advantix II works by combining two powerful ingredients to repel and kill fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks. Both primary ingredients work immediately on contact by attacking the nerve cells of parasites. This rapidly overwhelms the parasites and kills them. Pyriproxyfen regulates the growth of insects.

Active ingredients: Imidacloprid 8.80%, Permethrin* 44.00%, Pyriproxyfen 0.44%

*cis/trans ratio: max 55% (±) cis and min 45% (±) trans

Inactive ingredients: 46.76%

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of animals and children. Do not use or store K9 Advantix II in or near heat or open flame.

K9 Advantix II is intended for external use only. Keep this product out of the eyes and mouth of dogs. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on older, pregnant, nursing, debilitated, or medicated animals. Individual sensitivities may occur and should be reported to a veterinarian immediately.

Side effects of K9 Advantix II may include numbness, itching, burning, or tingling at the site of application. These symptoms typically occur within 2 hours of application and should disappear within 3 days. A gentle shampooing may reduce the severity of side effects.

CAUTION: This product is dangerous if swallowed and causes significant but temporary injury to the eyes. Avoid all contact with the eyes, clothing, and skin, and wash hands thoroughly with water and soap after handling and before touching food, drink, tobacco, or chewing gum.

If Swallowed: Obtain product label and call your doctor or a poison control center immediately for treatment instructions. Sip water while waiting for treatment. Do not induce vomiting unless otherwise instructed by a medical professional. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If in Eyes: Hold the affected eye(s) open and rinse gently with clean water for 20 minutes. If wearing contact lenses, remove after 5 minutes of rinsing, and then continue rinsing the affected eye(s).

If on Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing. Rinse skin promptly with clean water for 20 minutes. Call your doctor or a poison control center for treatment advice.
