Use this medication only as directed by your veterinarian.
Wear gloves when applying Genesis Topical Spray.
Use spray only in a well-ventilated area.
Do not allow children to administer or handle this
product.
Directions:
- Apply enough spray to thoroughly wet the affected
area without causing run-off of the product.
- Avoid the eye area. Use a cotton ball to dab the
product to the face, if necessary.
- Use 4 or less pumps per application for dogs weighing
11-21 lbs.
- Use 4 to 7 pumps per application for dogs weighing
22-32 lbs.
- Use 7 to 11 pumps per application for dogs weighing
33-43 lbs.
- Use 11 to 15 pumps per application for dogs weighing
44-54 lbs.
- Use 15 to 19 pumps per application for dogs weighing
55-65 lbs.
- Use 19 to 22 pumps per application for dogs weighing
66-76 lbs.
- Use 22 to 26 pumps per application for dogs weighing
77-87 lbs.
Frequency of Use:
Use twice daily for 7 days. Then, reduce frequency
to once daily for 7 days. After that time, continue using Genesis every
other day for another 14 days.
Storage:
Store Genesis Topical Spray at room temperature,
between 59 and 86 degrees F. Keep away from kids and animals.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Triamcinolone acetonide, the active ingredient in
Genesis Topical Spray, is a potent synthetic glucosteroid drug. It provides
strong anti-inflammatory benefits to control itching and skin inflammation
related to allergies in dogs. Genesis spray is for dermatologic use
only.
Ingredients: 0.015% triamcinolone acetonide, propylene glycol, specially
denatured alcohol, DMDM hydantoin
Warnings:
Keep this product out of reach of children and animals.
Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Genesis Topical Spray is intended for use on dogs
only. Do not use on cats or other animals. Do not spray on humans.
CAUTION: Use spray only in a well-ventilated
area.
Discontinue use if irritation to mucous membranes
or eyes occurs.
Corticosteroid use during the last trimester of pregnancy
may induce the first stage of parturition or premature parturition.
It has also been linked to fetal death, retained placenta, dystocia,
metritis, cleft palate, deformed forelegs, anasarca, phocomelia, and
other congenital anomalies in some animals.
It is not known if this product is safe for use in
breeding, lactating, or pregnant animals. It is not known if this product
is safe for use in dogs weighing less than 8 lbs. or in dogs less than
1 year of age.
Observe dogs undergoing treatment with triamcinolone
acetonide closely for signs of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression.
Long-term use of this medication may weaken your
pet's immune system, preventing him from fighting off infections.
Do not use this medication in animals with a known
allergy to it or to similar medications.
