Topical Flea and Tick Treatment for Dogs and Cats

Frontline Top Spot, made for cats and for dogs, is a monthly topical application used to eliminate fleas, ticks, and chewing lice, and to prevent subsequent infestations. These products are available over the counter for fast treatment and long-lasting protection.

Frontline Top Spot for Cats is only for use on cats. Frontline Top Spot for Dogs is only for use on dogs. Products for dogs are labeled to indicate the weights they are intended for. Only use a Frontline Top Spot product on the animal for which it is labeled. Do not apply to other animals. Do not use on humans.

Do not permit children to handle or apply any Frontline Top Spot product.

Read the manufacturer's instructions and warnings before use. Talk to your veterinarian about how to safely and effectively use this medication on your pet.

Avoid contact with the treated area until it has 24 hours to dry.

Directions:

1. Remove only one applicator from its child-resistant package, and then return the package to its safe storage spot.
2. Point the tip of the applicator away from you and your pet. Snap open its tip with a movement away from your face.
3. Spread your cat or dog's hair between its shoulder blades to expose a patch of skin.
4. Place the tip of the applicator against your pet's skin and empty its contents in this spot.
5. Use 1 applicator from the green Frontline Top Spot for Cats package on cats of all weights that are at least 8 weeks old.
6. Use 1 applicator from the orange Frontline Top Spot for Dogs 0-22 lbs. package on dogs falling within this weight range.
7. Use 1 applicator from the blue Frontline Top Spot for Dogs 23-44 lbs. package on dogs falling within this weight range.
8. Use 1 applicator from the purple Frontline Top Spot for Dogs 45-88 lbs. package on dogs falling within this weight range.
9. Use 1 applicator from the red Frontline Top Spot for Dogs 89-132 lbs. package on dogs falling within this weight range.
10. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after application.
11. Allow 24 hours for the application to dry before swimming or bathing.

Frequency of Use:

Frontline Top Spot applications are made once per month and offer protection for the full time in between applications.

Storage:

Keep this medication out of reach of children and animals.

Store Frontline Top Spot products in their original container at room temperature.

Do not contaminate food, water, or feed with this product during storage or disposal.

Never pour remaining product down any drain. To dispose of partly filled applicators, contact your local solid waste agency. Do not reuse empty applicators. Throw them in the trash or recycle where available.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Frontline Top Spot for Cats and Frontline Top Spot for Dogs of varying weights are all available in 3, 6, and 12-packs of single-dose applicators. While the fipronil concentration is the same in all products, each contains an applicator with a different quantity of medication.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. This product is flammable. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Frontline Top Spot for Cats is only intended for use on cats. Frontline Top Spot for Dogs is only intended for use on dogs of the indicated weight. Do not use on any animal for which the product is not intended. Do not apply to humans. Do not apply to kittens or puppies less than 8 weeks old.

For external use only. Use as directed by your veterinarian.

Use only 1 applicator of the appropriate dose per treatment. Make only one treatment per month.

CAUTION: Some irritation may occur at the site of application. If irritation persists or worsens for a few days, contact your veterinarian.

Ask your veterinarian about special considerations for elderly, debilitated, or medicated animals before using Frontline Top Spot.

If on Skin: Avoid contact with skin, clothing, and eyes. Wash product off skin thoroughly with soap and water.

If in Eyes: This product is an ocular irritant. Gently rinse affected eye(s) with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lens after 5 minutes of rinsing, if applicable, and continue rinsing. Call your doctor for advice.

If Swallowed: This product is harmful if swallowed. Contact a doctor or poison control center immediately. Sip water slowly while awaiting medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by a doctor or poison control center operator. Never administer anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
