Ciprofloxacin Fish Antibiotics
Fish Flox is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against gram-negative and certain gram-positive bacteria in fish. Fish Flox is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat fin rot, black patch necrosis syndrome, and other infections. The antibiotic is sometimes given off-label to cats and dogs.
Fish Flox, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, treats fin
rot, skin ulcers, system disease, and other infections in fish to improve
overall health and improve activity levels. It is also effective against
gastroenteritis, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, ear
infections, and other conditions in cats and dogs.

allow children to handle or administer Fish Flox.

statements prior to use.
Give dogs and cats 4.5 to 9 mg per pound of body
weight once daily or as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Directions:
- Dissolve one 250 mg tablet per
gallon of water in a cup of water prior to adding to a hospital tank.
- Pour the antibiotic solution
into the hospital tank, and then immerse your fish for one hour.
- Perform a water change after
each treatment.
- Repeat dosing every day for 5
to 7 days, or as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Frequency of Use:
Use once each day for at least 5 days.
Storage:
Store Fish Flox at controlled room temperature,
between 59 and 86 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent
with its labeling.
Fish Flox treats bacterial infections in fish by
inhibiting target enzymes necessary for DNA repair and bacterial replication.
This action makes Fish Flox effective against some bacteria unresponsive
to other types of antibiotics.
Fish Flox is available over the counter.

Fish Flox is intended for fish only. Do not use
Fish Flox in fish intended for human consumption. For ornamental and
aquarium fish only.
This medication may be used off-label in cats and
dogs. Do not give to other animals. Not for human use.
CAUTION: Do not use Fish Flox in young animals. Use in dogs at 4 to 28 weeks
of age is associated with cartilage injury. Large dogs undergoing rapid
growth are also at risk.
Use cautiously in animals with a history of seizures
or epilepsy.
