Fish Mox (Amoxicillin) 250 mg, 30 Capsules
Fish Mox (amoxicillin) exerts a broad range
anti-bacterial
action on both gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria. It is generally
more effective in gram-positive infections.
Directions:
Fish: Add one capsule into
aquarium for each 10 gallons of water. Repeat in 24 hours. It is
suggested that a partial water change be made between treatments.
While treatment duration depends on the type and severity of infection, it
is recommended that extended baths in the medication continue for a minimum
of 5 days and for not more than 10 days. Discontinued treatment if no
improvement is noted within 5 days.
Dogs and Cats: 6.6-20 mg/Kg
(3-9 mg/lb) every 8 to 12 hours orally. Fish Mox is commonly given off-label to
small animals.
Used for a variety of infections in all species, such as skin and urinary
tract infections. Dosage recommendations vary depending on the
susceptibility of bacteria and location of infection. Generally, more
frequent or higher doses are needed for gram-negative infections.
Usually well tolerated. Allergic
reactions are possible. Diarrhea and or vomiting is common with oral
doses. Use with caution in animals allergic to penicillin-like drugs.
Not for human use.
