Epakitin is more effective when combined
with a low-phosphorous diet; however, it is safe and effective in pets
that will not alter their diet.
Talk to your veterinarian about proper
use in your pet.
Directions:
- Give cats and dogs 1 level
scoop (1 g) per 10 lbs. of body weight.
- Add one full dose to food
in the morning and one full dose to food in the evening.
- Allow your pet unrestricted
access to water in conjunction with Epakitin supplementation.
Frequency of Use:
Administer Epakitin twice per day,
for as long as your veterinarian recommends. This nutritional supplement
may be given for life.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Store Epakitin in a cool, dry place.
It is a violation of Federal Law
to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Chitosan, an active ingredient in Epakitin,
is a naturally occurring polysaccharide derived from crab and shrimp
shells. Chitosan binds to phosphorous, reducing absorption and in turn
helping improve kidney function and slow damage from renal disease.
Epakitin is available without a prescription.
Ingredients:
Lactose, Calcium carbonate, Chitosan, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein
Typical Analysis: Protein 4.6%,
Fat < 0.5%, Moisture 1.35%, Ash 10.5%, Calcium 3.7%, Phosphorous
< 0.01%, Potassium 0.024%, Sodium 0.015%, Cellulose < 0.5%.
