Kidney Disease Supplement Medication

Epakitin is a nutritional supplement that supports kidney function in dogs and cats. Chitosan, the active ingredient in Epakitin pet meds, is a naturally occurring polysaccharide derived from crab and shrimp shells. It works as a phosphate binder that lower elevated levels of phosphate in the blood which can slow the progression of chronic kidney disease. Available in a palatable powder in 50 gm, 150 gm, and 300 gm quantities.

Epakitin is a powdered nutritional supplement intended to improve renal health and function and to slow the advancement of chronic kidney disease. It can be used for life in cats and dogs and is not associated with side effects.

Directions:

  1. Give cats and dogs 1 level scoop (1 g) per 10 lbs. of body weight.
  2. Add one full dose to food in the morning and one full dose to food in the evening.
  3. Allow your pet unrestricted access to water in conjunction with Epakitin supplementation.

Frequency of Use:

Administer Epakitin twice per day, for as long as your veterinarian recommends. This nutritional supplement may be given for life.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Store Epakitin in a cool, dry place.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Typical Analysis: Protein 4.6%, Fat < 0.5%, Moisture 1.35%, Ash 10.5%, Calcium 3.7%, Phosphorous < 0.01%, Potassium 0.024%, Sodium 0.015%, Cellulose < 0.5%.

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Epakitin is intended for use in dogs and cats only. Do not feed to other animals. Not for human consumption.

Consult your veterinarian about how best to use Epakitin.
