Dimethyl Sulfoxide for Pets

Domoso Gel is a solvent and anti-inflammatory product beneficial to horses and dogs. It improves and speeds penetration of topical medications and other substances, and it may reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain associated with fractures and other physical traumas.

Use this medication only as directed by your veterinarian.

Domoso Gel is for topical use only. DO NOT ADMINISTER BY ANY OTHER ROUTE.

Do not allow children to apply this product. Always wear skin protection when using Domoso Gel.

Directions:

1. Administer Domoso topically to the affected area. Not for internal use.
2. Wear rubber gloves when applying Domoso to your animal.
3. Apply to dogs liberally, 3 to 4 times daily, for up to 14 days.
4. Do not exceed 20 g total dosage when using on dogs.
5. Apply to horses liberally, 2 to 3 times daily, for no longer than 30 days.
6. Do not exceed 100 g total dosage when using on horses.

Frequency of Use:

Use as directed by your veterinarian. Do not use more often or for longer periods than prescribed.

Storage:

Domoso Gel is hygroscopic and must be kept in a tightly closed container. Do not freeze. Store at controlled room temperature, 59 to 86 degrees.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Ingredients: 90% dimethyl sulfoxide, carbomer 934, disodium edetate, NaOH and purified water q.s.

Warnings:

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.

Domoso is intended for use in dogs and horses only. Do not use on other animals or on humans. Do not take internally. For external, topical use only.

CAUTION: Most side effects associated with Domoso are local and are rarely serious. Some animals may experience transient erythema, local burning or pain, and dryness of the skin. An oyster-like breath odor has also been noted.

Sometimes, nuclear cataracts and changes in the refractive index of the eye's lens can occur. These effects are likely related to dosage and duration of therapy.

Avoid skin contact with Domoso during application. If the product is absorbed through the skin, an unpleasant taste and mouth odor will result.

Some people who come into contact with Domoso during application may experience drowsiness, mild sedation, burning, itching, irritation, and sensations of warmth. Consult a doctor immediately for advice.

Use Domoso Gel cautiously when administered along with other medications or preparations. Domoso may enhance absorption of other medications.

Domoso Gel is for topical use only. DO NOT ADMINISTER BY ANY OTHER ROUTE.

Do not use Domoso Gel under occlusive dressings. Do not use Domoso on horses or dogs intended for breeding. Do not use the product on horses expected to be slaughtered for consumption.

Domoso may be harmful to fabrics, plastics, and other materials.

Do not use this medication in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar medications.
