Use of Cosequin was recommended by my vet. I find this product especially easy to use as well as good for my two large lab mixes. The capsules open easily so that the powder can be sprinkled directly on their food. The older of the two dogs is especially prone to joint aches and I've noticed that he is more active since being on this product.
Glucosamine and chondroitin DS
Double strength means less pills and glucosamine and chondroiton are the only substances proven to help according to my veterinarian. My dog is much improved after only a few months. I can't wait to see what happens with longer use.
Cosequin DS (Double Strength) for Dogs 250 Capsules
My German Shepherd is almost 8 years old and weighs 126 lbs. and has been diagnosed with beginning hip displasia. He was having a difficult time getting up the steps into the house. He was doing better with the regular Cosequin, but I wanted to see if he would be better with the double strength Cosequin. After 2 weeks of 2 capsules in the morning and 3 capsules at night, he is doing so much better. He no longer has to stop and gather himself before starting up the steps. Also, he doesn't have to use a ramp to get into the van.
