Topical Wound Dressing
Chondroprotec is a topical wound dressing for dogs, cats, and horses. Chondroprotec is used on partial and full thickness wounds including burns, lesions, pressure ulcers, and surgical incisions.
Chondroprotec dresses wounds on cats, dogs, and horses.
It promotes a moist environment for the wound, so it helps heal partial-
and full-thickness wounds, trauma injuries, first- and second-degree
burns, secreting or bleeding skin lesions, donor sites, surgical incisions,
pressure ulcers (stages I through IV), and venous stasis ulcers.

Follow the specifications of your veterinarian's
prescription.
Directions:
- Irrigate wound with sterile water or saline solution.
- Apply Chondroprotec liberally over the wound site.
Pour the contents or administer with a syringe.
- Cover the wound with gauze or a non-stick pad.
- Reapply Chondroprotec every 24 hours, or as prescribed.
Change the covering every 5 to 7 days, or as instructed by your veterinarian.
- When reapplying product without changing the covering,
Chondroprotec may be injected through the covering to avoid unnecessary
removal and disturbance of the healing wound.
Frequency of Use:
Chondroprotec is typically applied once daily.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Chondroprotec at room temperature between 59
and 86 degrees F. Do not freeze.
Discard unused portion.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Polysulfated glycosaminoglycan, the active ingredient
in Chondroprotec, dresses wounds and creates an optimally moist environment
to promote their healing. Chondroprotec is for use on types of wounds
that heal best and scar less when kept moist. The solution is preservative-free
and derived from bovine trachea.

Chondroprotec is only intended for use on cats, dogs,
and horses. Do not apply to other animals. Not for use on humans.
Use exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian.

device to sale by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Not for use on animals intended for food.
Chondroprotec is not associated with side effects.
Individual sensitivities may still occur. If you observe an adverse
effect on an animal, ask your veterinarian about it.
Do not use this product in conjunction with another
on a wound unless instructed to do so by your veterinarian.
